Panto Week #4 - Opening night

This has become a backblip as I left my camera at church by mistake last night!

It's showtime! Opening night. Audience seated. House lights off. Stage lights on. Signature tune playing. And ... action!

What a fabulous first night!!!

The door magically got painted over night, phew! The last few props were found/made. Everyone really got into gear and it went amazingly well. A few minor deviations from the script that were well covered ... well, you have to have some ad lib, it's panto! The Sheriff was supposed to be joined on stage by his two robbers at one point but only one arrived so we had to make it up for a moment until Dennis the Menace realised he was supposed to be with us!!!

The audience were great and after a while warmed up and joined in well. It makes such a difference. Mind you, you then have to be prepared for the unexpected!!!

Panto week starts HERE.

I seem to be going backwards on the recovery scale and felt really rough yesterday. I just about coped last night. Another sofa day today I think and a sleep this afternoon. We're half way, only three more to go.
