Mister Finch

It was good to see Mister House Finch this morning, because it’s brutally cold between the temperature and biting wind. Notice he’s warming in the early sun • An early blip today because we have a special delivery to make this afternoon, but first we have cookies to bake and some prepared foods to purchase • A friend of ours will be alone this Thanksgiving and we know she will not prepare any food for herself; she’s also a picky eater but luckily we know of a couple of things she does like. Since we do not cook or eat meat we will select pre-made items that she can either eat or freeze • You see, she lost her Dad a few years ago; then her husband died unexpectedly two years ago, and now her mother has dementia and is in the hospital, soon to be moved to assisted living. She will never return home. Our friend is only in her mid-40s and has experienced so much grief in just a few years. She works every day, visits her Mom, but doesn’t take care of herself • We are grateful and thankful every day for all that we have.
