Cariad a Cawl

Valentine's day... a day to show how much you love someone or express your affection. Not really a big fan of Valentine's day, seems to me that it only puts pressure on couples to impress each other and highlights to those who are single that we are lonely buggers! Whats wrong with showing someone how much you love them each and every day? It's all corporate and consumer targeted BS in my opinion. Anyway, enough with the rant, here's a picture of my love - a nice hot bowl of Cawl (a Welsh recipe broth comprising of potatoes, swede, leeks, carrots, parsley and beef). Best served with some crusty bread and copious amounts of mature cheddar cheese. Cawl is a sure way to warm the heart and fill the stomach, a perfect "Valentine's" meal for any singleton :-)
