Secret santa

It’s secret Santa time, and most unusually I have drawn someone I actually want to buy a present for!

It’s the PhD students in the department doing it. We were meant to get them something PhD related, but the person I have is surprisingly not at all nerdy and would hate to revive a load of Bede paraphernalia. (Bede being this medieval monk person from the 10th century whose writings she studies). So instead I have bought her something nice and written this poem in her card as an allusion to the theme.
