Farewell Sergio

I woke this morning to find a message saying that our very good friend Sergio had passed away at 6 a.m.

Shortly after moving to Spain nearly 20 years ago, one evening M said we're going out for a drink with an old friend of hers. She said he was a really nice kind guy, and so he was.

He has been a constant friend the whole time we've been here. Also a clever, diligent, hard working member of the community.

In his mid 50s he finally lost his battle with cancer, dying peacefully at home. He will be sadly missed us and by many. Tomorrow the funeral.
