Heart and Souled

On the wind

Spring, as did I, crept back under the duvet this morning as icy winds returned to blow these catkins.

I learned some sad news today. An old man living in the next street has passed away. We'd see him in the park in his motorised wheelchair for a smile and a nod. I think a stroke had taken away his capacity to speak. Not so long ago we were walking past, me and the dog, and she breaks out her best pointer "I've seen something" face. She's spotted, through his vertical blinds, him sitting, waving and smiling. I smile back and we exchange thumbs up as he points at Keah and beams.
Those moments sweeten life, and I am sorry for the loss.
