(329) Orion

Very clear skies tonight and good visibility despite the bright moon. This shot was a balance between exposure time, focal length and ISO to try and get a sharp image with minimum noise. The object in the centre of the thumbnail is the M42 nebula, in Orion's belt. It is one of the brightest nebulae, and is visible to the naked eye in the night sky, or in this case easily picked up by the camera. I think I may have to go look at tracking devices for the camera as I'd like to try and improve the images I get from the camera.
