always three minutes fast...

Tonight I had to run a wee errand in Edinburgh, so I took the opporchancity of creating a wee pano that included the Balmoral Hotel. Formerly the North British Hotel, its name was changed when it left the ownership of the railway. Traditionally the clock is set a few minutes fast to give frantic commuters a little more time to catch their train. Waverley station is directly below her.
