Wood work

The Kubota has a flat battery, but springs into life with a little help from the car. It schleps the splitter down to the barn and we get to work splitting the two ashes that Lewis dropped during the summer.

The tractor just can’t get the trailer up the steep muddy slope. We unload the logs, push the trailer to the side, and continue with the link box - smaller, but perfectly functional. (A near disaster is averted by the lucky placement of a tree)

Like all self respecting lumberjacks, we end the day with dry martinis, c/w green olives. They have much the same effect as the legendary pan galactic gargle blaster (TM). I’m unconscious by eight.
