Below A Broken Bough

I noticed where a dark shadow is cast I can see beneath the surface without using a polariser, whereas areas reflecting the sky are not so translucent, leading to an interesting juxtaposition. Once I had discovered the dark reflection from a tree limb, I played around with positioning trying to make an interesting combination of shapes. Not so easy when the angle of reflection changes along with depth of field and focus point choices.

I liked this view with the brighter oak leaf in the centre and the additional shape of the piece of wood in the bottom left. I followed my advice from the other day and clarified the dark shapes under the water.
