Day 253 The Festive Decor Adviser

Today we tackled a few more tasks to get the house Christmas ready as it is our intention to this a little earlier than usual this year.  Peggy Sue was, as usual, on hand to interfere  advise and assist: she began by plonking herself in one of my quilted fabric bags that I use to store Violet's toys.  As you will see in extras she later fell asleep on duty, once on the (faux) fur clad settee and again by getting completely inside the quilted bag with only a hind leg on show!
In other news: the Welsh First Minister has announced that from Friday, pubs and restaurants will be banned from selling alcohol and must close at 6pm.  Pubs have not been ordered to close but such restrictions are tantamount to doing so.  Some I suspect will never open their doors again.  Meanwhile Christmas advice continues to abound.  Apparently if we go for the permitted 3 family get together 23 -27 December (which we are not) , it is advisable not to play board games in case of infection passed on through contact. Oh and it's especially important to involve women in the decision making as they 'carry the burden of creating and maintaining family traditions and activities at Christmas'.  Looking back over some of my blips of Christmases past I sometimes feel like weeping.
