'tis the season

It was time to make the Advent wreath so D went out and fetched me some nice holly which I had had my eyes on. Thankfully the blackbirds are still too intent on the apples to have moved on to the holly berries..still, we have left them plenty. I like this bush because the holly isn't prickly, so it's easy to work with. The wreath will stay on the door now until candlemas (February 2nd). I put the leftover pieces up on the mantlepiece.

I also fetched out the tree and the decorations, which we will put up at the weekend :-)
