Feeding the Ducks

It was a lovely, chilly morning and so we took Euan to the pond to feed the ducks.  There were a lot of them plus the usual gaggle of noisy seagulls (what is the collective noun for seagulls?) so he was a little hesitant around them but then happy to walk for quite a long way back to the estate road where he was back in his pushchair for home.

Lots of jobs were done whilst he had a long nap and then between us all we kept him going till the evening meal and bathtime.  His Mum and Dad took a couple of online meetings and managed to get some work done too.

Today we have read several books including a favourite Hairy McClary.  Euan has trundled his walker from the study in to the kitchen and back several times; bashed a biscuit tin; had fun with his food (I think the porridge went down his sleeve!) and rolled a roll of parcel tape backwards and forwards on the wooden floor.  Great fun, but we are all exhausted now!

Late extra:  Google says a flotilla of seagulls; a screech; a squabble and a scavenging - the last three most fitting I think.
