Good wishes

M is going to have to wait another day to see the cards, flowers and chocolates rolling in.

While recovery from hip replacement is going well his warfarin level (blood clotting agent) is too low.

His suitcase was packed and ready to leave this afternoon- I had dropped off his outdoor clothes this afternoon during the one hour official drop-off once a week on a Tuesday (there is another 1 hour window on Wednesday evening)- when the doctor appeared and told him the result of his latest blood test: too low.

Result: another night in Larbert hospital. I cannot praise the hospital enough. They have extremely strict Covid protection in place from the moment you step inside. M has a room of his own with en suite facilities, TV, Wi-Fi (OK a bit erratic) and two three course meals a day, plus a succession of  “ treats” from the trolley.

And all this free on the NHS
