Not making Christmas just yet

It seems that all my work is done by video conferencing these days. Over the past few weeks I've watched the rooms in which people work gradually become more festive as one-by-one they've started to make their surroundings Christmasy. Now it's December 1st and I want to start my preparations too but I've run out of time tonight. Earlier, I did go out to retrieve the Christmas tree stand which has been stored outside all year. It's in remarkably good shape and doesn't need a great deal of cleaning up before we get it ready for the tree to be delivered on Saturday. I may not have any decorations yet but I've started.
