Dee Estuary

Today's the day ……………………… to catch the light

It was impossible not to take good pictures of the Dee Estuary at Tongland today.

The tide was in, so the water levels were high and it looked like a proper loch as opposed to a river estuary.  But the main reason was that I was earlier than other days - and so the sun was still shining in the blue, blue sky.  There was light everywhere - on the water - but also on the reed beds, making them shine like burnished copper.

You can see what I mean in the extra - and that's just one seed head.  Multiply that a billion times ………………………!
