Winter moorings

It's another grey day today, dry, but still pretty cold. I blipped these boats at the top of Knowle locks this morning - they were all moored up and going nowhere during the winter months. The cold weather doesn't deter the hardened boater though, and later, when I was driving over the canal bridge on Packwood Road, I saw a narrowboat chugging along quite happily - although the skipper was well wrapped up with scarf, hat and gloves against the cold. If you'd like a musical accompaniment you could try this (one of my favourite Ralph McTell tracks).
