Repurposing the Past

Dear Diary,

One of the things I've been doing during this year of i-sew-lation is finding new ways to use some of the old things I have around the house.  Case in point.  I used one of the lead crystal master salt cellars I inherited from my Mom to make a pin cushion.  I added a bit of crocheted lace my grandmother made and a button from her button box.  I've made a lot of small ones to give as gifts this Christmas too.  The crossed stitched cloth it is sitting on was made by my mother.  I guess you can see where I inherited my love of needle work!

For those who might be interested, here's a link to the little video tour of Crum Elbow.
