Best of friends

Pickle is very tolerant of the girls, but he often takes himself off upstairs for a bit of space when they are annoying him. They adore him and treasure any affection he gives to them. Bea was delighted this morning to have him resting on her legs.

John had the day off today so he had Bea in the morning while I did some overtime. Our new kitchen tiles arrived yesterday and so he took her to the tile shop to get the edging strips. The tiles are quite rustic and we debated having no trim, but in the end decided a trim would be easier to keep clean and chose a lovely dark brass. I'm so excited to see what they look like when they are on.

In the afternoon I took Bea to her swimming class which she enjoyed. She fell asleep on the way home, it's been a long time since she had an afternoon nap. As a result she didn't go to bed until 9, long after Ivy had fallen asleep. We watched a christmas movie and she loved the treat of staying up late.
