Flower Friday

Looking a bit battered after blooming all spring, summer and autumn, the marigolds are still going strong as winter arrives.  Sleet fell last night and continued on and off throughout the day, but didn’t settle much.  The marigolds were full of water.  Some other plants were looking flattened by the weather, but I’ve spotted buds on the rose which I had cut back.  It has bloomed into winter before, so hopefully there may be one or two last blooms before Christmas. The Christmas cards I ordered finally turned up today, so I guess I know what I will be doing tomorrow!
