We Made It!!

After all the things that have been thrown at us this year.  There were times when I'd wished we weren't doing this concert.

But then on the day, when it all comes together, and we manage to get the headdresses on!!  It all seems so worth while.

We had an early start leaving at 7am, for a rehearsal at the theatre.  We were using a different venue this year (because of covid), so were not familiar with the surroundings.

The girls went off with their chaperones, without any problem.  But, when they came back Mia bust into tears.  That didn't bode well for the performance.

Anyway, we came home, the girls had some lunch, then it was time to get them ready.

It's been a really hot day 33c, not the best for putting on make-up and doing hair.  But the girls were real troupers, and did it all without any complaint, whilst eating an ice block.

Then back to the theatre.  By now the traffic was building.  Luckily we left early, and got there with plenty of time to spare.

Dresses on, headdresses on.  Off with the chaperones.  And Mia went without a backward glance.  A sigh of relief, now we could enjoy the show.

And we did.  It was great.  It had a circus theme and was great fun.

The 6 little Popcorn dancers went down a treat.  And I was so proud of our two, I had a little tear in my eye.

It was a very emotional show.  Their dance teacher has done an amazing job, especially after what she has been through, and what she has to come.

But I know she will be very proud of her students tonight.
