The Dandelion and the Cactus

Both playing fields up the road were in action this morning, the first outing for footballing youngsters in a while.  JJ and I contented ourselves with walking round the wood and alongside both playing fields.  I say "contented" but I am really missing my long, solitary Saturday walks, and although I enjoy his company, I do like to walk wherever my feet take me.

Luke's treatment has not gone as well as planned and he still has some cancer cells in his blood.  As I understand it, the specialists target is to remove the cancer within 29 days, which in Luke's case has not happened.  I don't know what the process is going forward, but he's in good hands.

I don't find these flowers easy to photograph so I've blended it with a dandelion seedhead.
