A Change of Fortune

I'm not a fan of Christmas.
I've never had a real Christmas tree.
Daughter asked if we could have one this year.
It has been such an awful year, I felt obliged to try to lift her spirits somewhat.
So, we left the house at an early'ish hour - for a teenager - on a Saturday morning and bought a real tree.

She was so so excited.
The tree looks beautiful.
She lifted my spirits - again.
And then I looked out over the loch.
Vaccines have arrived in Scotland.
Are fortunes changing?
Oh, I hope so!
