Definitely not ....

... Silly Saturday. That can be found in the extra! As you can see Cheddar is no worse for wear despite his eye infection.

We were on our way to a drive-thru open house at our financial company when I spotted this beautiful red fox along side the road. He/she was clearly eating something and on closer inspection we sadly determined that it was a poor squirrel. (Not that we got out of the car to look but as he/she eventually carried it off we could see what it was eating)  I only hope that it was maybe hit by a car first ... although that's not much better! We all know how much I love squirrels!

We pulled into a nearby parking lot so that I could get some pictures and then we drove on to the open house. Since the open house was merely a drive-thru to pick up a gift bag this didn't take long!  We returned home until after lunch.

Then after lunch we went up to the Plainfield Rail Trail for a quick walk. It was quite cold and windy but we needed the exercise.  While walking up the trail I spotted something rather large in one of the trees.  It was a Bald Eagle!  And then in comes another!  We have never seen an eagle along this trail before so it was thrill to see two of them!
