Treetrunk circles

This morning F and I went for a walk in the Racecourse/Candy Woods area.  It was an absolute quagmire after all the rain that we'd had and a number of the paths had been churned up by mountain bikers.  I was glad that I was wearing my wellies!

We were pleased to see a pair of mistle thrushes.  My extra is of one of them pecking around on the ground.  The other was sitting in a nearby tree.

I liked the shapes of these felled logs with their circular patterns and fungi.
