Talton House

On my own today so after laying the fire and other necessary, albeit tedious, household chores I eventually took myself off for a walk to test my new wellies.
Across the fields and on to Talton Lane and down to the stream by Talton Lodge before heading to the mill to see if yesterday’s water levels were down. About the same I would say.
Afterwards heading home although I took this photo of Talton House from behind the remains of a horse chestnut tree(I think) across the meadows alongside the small ornamental pond which is fed by the stream which then continues on to feed the mill stream.
It kept dry as well after this morning’s rain.
