Wanderland ...

Our snow delayed log delivery arrived before breakfast this morning. After breakfast we shifted and stacked our winter warmth. It was a bright sunny day but there was a chill on the beach where we walked before lunch.

The sand access to the beach at the east end had been washed away and the exposed rock was quite tricky to traverse. The massive accumulation of drift wood, some of substantial size and weight, littered the beach. Despite a few locals armed with saws cutting trees into logs there is still serious wood supply stranded here.

In the afternoon we joined in, unofficially, the Porty Window Wanderland by putting our random interpretation of “stained glass” on two of our street facing windows. It’s great that our community goes on finding ways to bring people together safely in these Covid times.

Sadly, the attraction of the seaside today brought in less Covid conscious visitors as my blip shows. We turned right after I had taken this and came home by a quieter safer route.
