How much is that squashed tomato in the carton?

This was the only photo I took today. It sums up a rainy Monday morning when the pandemic news gets gloomier and the drizzle was relentless.

I did wonder why one squashed tomato had not been bought or removed from sale? Our local supermarket was fairly busy and the number of shoppers, all masked, significantly outnumbered the staff. It is challenging for supermarkets to predict shopping trends during these continuing Covid times.

As I drove into town for a long afternoon’s voluntary shift the sun came out and the Regency buildings shimmered in the low winter light.
