A time for everything

Afternoon walk at Rowe Woods

Sunday
In the morning we watched our streamed church service, always a joy, and a time to re-centre for the week ahead. It was a grey dismal day, though the forecast suggested we may get some sunny intervals in the afternoon. However, the sky in the top picture was as much blue sky as we saw today. Once we got away from the car park and the visitor centre, the trails were quiet and the air was so still - there wasn’t even much bird song to be heard. This evening we had another streamed concert to watch, the Blue Ash and Montgomery Symphony Orchestra, in which Dan our church choir director is the percussionist - percussion has always been his principal area, and Tom, our church pianist and organist is principal cellist, that likewise being his chief instrument. They’re both extremely talented guys and totally dedicated to music. The concert wasn’t as grand as usual, when they are usually joined by other groups and choirs for their Christmas concert, it was mainly music written for small ensembles, but it was still very enjoyable and put you in a festive mood!
Have a good week fellow blippers, and stay safe and healthy!
