Blackbird

The 'chinking' call of a Blackbird on a dreich winter's evening has always been one of the most evocative sounds I can call to mind.

The Blackbird here landed on the improvised 'fence' as I was  photographing the Oak in its own right, but it added immensely to both the scene you see here, and the whole atmosphere of the occasion.
