Venice - Day 2

An afternoon on Burano, the most colourful of the lagoon islands (Its waterways are lined by brightly painted houses). It lies in a lonely expanse of the northern lagoon.

The Buranese are fishermen and lacemakers by trade. The Guidebook told me that visitors can still see men scraping their boats and mending their nets!!

The seafood at the Osteria was quite something.
