River Medway at Allington

A wet old morning led to a fine afternoon. We did some haggling early on to save Doreen a large sun of money on her household insurance.

We drove to Waitrose on the other side of town to spent a large sum of money on foodie Christmas presents, a bit of shopping and some Christmas goodies.

Taking advantage of the free three hour parking we walked into town along the River Medway for yet more shopping. Today’s blip is of the river at Allington Lock, the lowest lock on the river, after which it becomes tidal.

This evening we had our Marmite Ukulele Club Christmas Jam, rattling through loads of Christmas favourites at a fair old lick. Great fun and sore fingers ends. We’re hoping to be able to meet as a proper club at some time next year.
