Life through the lens...

By ValC

There’s a mouse in the house.

This little mouse is now in prime position on our tree.
A very special Christmas gift from Hannah, who along with Jenny was very disappointed that they couldn’t help me decorate it this year.
I don’t think she realises just how much we appreciate this kind thought. It is the small things that really matter this year.

After a phone call and a visit from a British Gas repairman, we finally got our boiler working again by lunchtime.
It seems the problem was the fan. Just a drop of oil and everything is working again.
Fingers crossed!
We haven’t had the heating off since.
Such a cold, damp dreary day. Chills you to the bone, as we found out when we did the farm shop this afternoon. We were the only people there, and I’m not surprised.

Looking forward to watching the film Brooklyn
on BBC4 tonight,
We have seen it before, but enjoyed it so much are going to watch it again.

Hoping we may go down into Tier three as the rate in Kirklees has dropped to under 200, but still high.
We live in hope!
