A better day

A lovely crisp dry start to the day and a cosy dog to cuddle on the way to the charity warehouse. Miss PHL had an early presentation so took Phin to keep him out of her hair.

Our builders were back for day 2 to continue with the first stage of our kitchen renovation. Yesterday they took down the wall between the kitchen and dining room and replaced a small set of patio doors with a triple paned bifold door. Today they had to swap the bifold door round to open from the left inside of the right as it was apparently the wrong way round! They then replaced another window with a smaller higher one so we am use the wall for units when we replace the kitchen next year.
Apparently they had a bit of a mare of a day!

Today’s volunteers were much more motivated and things went smoothly.

Late dinner for a variety of boring reasons and although I’d planned a nice relaxing bath, by the time I’d cleared up the kitchen, emptied the bin, dealt with the food waste and sorted out the recycling for pickup tomorrow it didn’t seem worth it - I guess there’s always tomorrow.

Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting Abstract Thursday. I’ve put the original in the extras along with my nephews birthday cake - he’s studying to be a podiatrist so it’s quite appropriate.
