Flower Friday - The Mother Herb Flower

The Mother of Herbs plant (coleus amboinicus) on the rooftop garden has a really long flower spike this year. The little flowers are so unusual and quite cute and the stems are very very hairy :o)

You can just pick a piece of it, even just a leaf and stick it in a pot and it will grow like crazy especially in summer, i have it everywhere ;o)

Coleus amboinicus, is a semi-succulent perennial plant in the family Lamiaceae[2] with a pungent oregano-like flavor and odor. The origin of Coleus amboinicus is unknown, but it may be native to Africa, and possibly India. Coleus amboinicusis widely cultivated and naturalized elsewhere in the tropics where it is used as a spice and ornamental plant.

My new (secondhand) camera arrived today, so very exciting its an Olympus OMD EM5 Mk2!

I took it all out of the box and started reading through the manual and then put the battery on charge and when it was finally charged I went to put it in....and they’d sent the wrong battery and charger!!! Soooo disappointing because its a lovely camera! Oh well nothing to do but wait a bit longer, husband is good at complaining so he rang them and told them what he thought ;o)

Very tired after my late night last night zzzzzzzz and a big day planned with Julian tomorrow so I’m off to beddy byes and will catch up tomorrow night ;o)xxx
