Sowerby-under-Cotcliffe

We took a drive around the country lanes just east of Northallerton. I just love some of the names of the villages and parishes around here. 

This line of trees lead to Sowerby Grange which looks uninhabited at the moment. There isn't a village of Sowerby-under-Cotcliffe, it is the name of the parish. 

It has been a very wet and misty day, you may have noticed in the image.
