Derelict Sunday 223 :: DS223 :: Postman's Box

I'm not totally sure but I believe this might be an old storage box to house an extra post bag for the postie to collect as they went on their round. Whatever it is it clearly hasn't been used for some time. This is next to our nearest post box.

Our postie has a large electric cart to take all her bags and parcels in. It is often chained to a lamppost as she visits side roads etc. So much more civilised not to have to carry heavy loads of junk mail and bills down every pathway. 

This is my rare offering for Derelict Sunday. The weather has rendered this Sunday derelict, so the only time I left the house becomes my Blip!
