Cherington

It was a bright, sunny day for a change so we decided to head off early after lunch to visit another village, this one being Cherington in Warwickshire.

Cherington is just south of Shipston-on-Stour and, as usual, has a Manor House, a pub, The Cherington Arms, a Hook Norton Brewery place, and a 13th century church, St John the Baptist.  The pub was closed, tier 3, and the inside of the church sounds like an interesting place to visit. It was also closed.

As we were walking around I noticed this building at the other side of a field.  I was taken by the shape of the thatched roof, almost the shape of a monster that has just destroyed the place (sorry vivid imagination).  A definite candidate for this week's Derelict Sunday hosted by Marlieske.
