Roe Deer

Last night, as I was locking up before bed I saw snow was falling, real snow with flakes drifting down. This morning the world was white, albeit only slightly so with a thin skim of snow. It is SO lovely to have a lighter world.
Two roe deer came wandering down the field next to our house today. There was this young buck and a young doe and they seemed pretty calm as they nibbled their way down to the corner closest to our house.  As we were going out for a walk a bit later we noticed them back at the top of the field, heading back to whence they came from.
Three minutes later Jan saw three more racing out of the top of our garden. On the way back from the lake there were three more moving across another field. There's no shortage of roe deer just now!
