Poinsettia

Our only nod to the festive season - a poinsettia bought in the supermarket last time I went shopping.  It says it is "guaranteed to last through the festive season" - so far it has only lost one leaf, and is looking quite good.

We are not inclined to festive decorations at the best of times, and this is definitely not the best Xmas.  We will have no company this year, so there will be no-one to care that we haven't made an effort.  Anything more than this would involve getting boxes out of the loft - that's just too much like hard work.

In other news, despite neither of us sleeping particularly well last night, we have both made progress on our projects.  The roads on the car mat now all have white lines down the middle, and the junctions are marked.  And the magazine rack is finished, but the varnish was still tacky - I will be allowed to use it tomorrow!
