Wound up in Wexford

By Neatwithice

Cold morning

Back blipping on 14th December

W went off to gym on his own - I had thought about going, but decided that my wrist was still too painful.  It was still frosty at 9.30 when I walked down the road to the polling station - a presage of the results to come, perhaps.

Later, we drove into Norwich, and caught a train to London.  We had a lovely meal at a little French restaurant under the railway arches by the South Bank complex, and a superb evening watching and laughing at the new Fascinating Aida show.  In fact, we like it so much, we've booked to see them again in March, when they will be in Cambridge.

But our mood lowered considerably as we read the exit poll, and the early results on the train home.  W had considered watching the TV for at least some of the night, but we were so depressed we went almost immediately to bed, and didn't wake until almost all the results were in, and the result was confirmed as a devastating victory for the Tories.
