Wound up in Wexford

Leaves again

I cleared the top pool of the pond of leaves on Sunday.  At the time, I noted that the oak tree (you can see it is the main culprit) was largely denuded of leaves.  But we've had a heck of a wind for the last few days, so all the other leaves that were spread around the garden have relocated to the pond.

Didn't get up the energy for leaf clearing today - it was sunny but very cold.

Perhaps tomorrow?  Or maybe not - we've got yet another day trip to London tomorrow!

After hassling my daughter and son-in-law's council, I finally received the postal proxy votes for them today.  I've completed them, and at considerable expense sent them back by guaranteed next day delivery.  Probably all a waste of time and money, as theirs is apparently a very safe Tory seat.  W says that the word in left wing media is that Tory councils are deliberately delaying the sending out of postal votes.  But it could just be the stupid timing of this election, with the usual delays in Christmas mail.
