Over the Sea to Hoy

A ray of sunshine for our cruise over Scapa Flow to Hoy, calling at Flotta so a team of missionaries can disembark.  The crew today consisted of Arthur, Rory and a very young looking Heddle (in fact slightly too cherubic for a boat crew) who is the grandson of a Shetland Tulloch.

Scapa Flow - the name still resonates.

It's such a relief to be away from the pressure-cooker of the Orkney Mainland.

When we arrived at the bolt hole CMC realised she'd left her zither at HQ; and her stun gun.

Conversation ranged from: the ingredients of fire cement, the reason why the bolt hole fridge has stopped working, meeting Peter McDonald, the Hoy Pier Christmas tree (a first ever), Tommy Moar, John Drever fencing.

Unexpectedly we met the Chairman of the Hoy Kirk outside the Hoy Kirk.

Vladimir and Henrietta are resting.
