Rackwick

Went through to Rackwick for a wander through the township.   A bright but chilly day with a cold wind straight off the Pentland Firth.  This old croft used to be the Schoolhouse, where CMC's granny lived.  It's now called Moorfea and it's Mr MacKay's bolt hole.

After a large cable laying project, to bolster the electricity supply to Orkney, the road to Racwick, from Hoy, is atrocious.  The project is near completion.

After returning to Hoy we met Mrs McIsaac at the pier and had a good update.  We visited the day old twins in Albert's byre - both sooking  well.

I have now hunkered down to read Tolstoy and CMC is tinkling on the piano.
