Mixed Bag

Today:
- I cried on a Zoom session because a Lithuanian colleague was so encouraging
- didn't wash my hair or the pillowcases, at least, because we ran out of electricity when the pump was on, plus it rained
- didn't book somewhere for us to stay for a couple of days because couldn't decide where and it all feels so difficult
- argued with Mike - about olives!
- put the olives I picked this year (15 litres) into salt solution, with oregano, orange peel and bay leaves (they've been soaking in water Mike changed regularly for several weeks to take away the bitterness)
- had several chats with different folk - quite a few inadvertently as my phone is going crazy and randomly rings people
- prayed hard for several friends who are struggling, and for Biden and Kamala Harris
- didn't have a nap
- did go for a walk
- chatted to our shepherd neighbour about pruning our olives
- made a decent meal from leftovers
- couldn't choose a photo; this is Mike's choice, with the outdoor sink he made next to the barbecue (which we've not used once this year), and a few slug eaten tomatoes

Gratefuls:
- a pale rainbow and a few glimmers of sun that gave us a bit of electricity (and that said sun also made an appearance in the north of Sweden
- there is enough water in our tank for us to have showers
- a wine connoisseur brother who has taken a task off my (and Julia's) shoulders
