Sunshine over the city

View over the north of Glasgow. on a clear day. The building on the left is the 10-storey Victorian water tower, standing on the hill top at the centre of the site of the former Ruchill Hospital for infectious diseases. It was a category A listed building and in a bad way when restoration was undertaken around ten years ago. The picture shows the contrasting styles of architecture from the suburban villas of Bearsden in the foreground to the multi-storey  housing blocks nearer the city centre. The Glasgow Housing Association owns 67 high-rise blocks – with around 8000 tenants.
