Welcoming bright yellow door

Cycling home this afternoon was like a riding well oiled machine, requiring what seemed to be far less effort than before I took it in. The bill was less than I expected too, so it was good all round.

The “to do” list now has more ticks than things still outstanding. I delivered the last of the cards, to our neighbours, this afternoon. A ham is curing in the garage, last parcels to be posted are being wrapped as I write.

It was a lovely sunny morning while we were busy, by the time we got out for a walk rain was falling so it was a relief to find this bright yellow door lighting up the gloom. Understated, very pleasant, Christmas decorations too.

There’s much uncertainty as to whether Barbara and David will make the journey from Edinburgh next week. Governments are reigning in on the original Christmas regulations. Might be just the three of us.
