Christmas shoppers, Fremlin’s Walk

I cycled into town to get my buckled rear wheel straightened, Susan walked in to equal out the miles I’d run last week! We had a coffee and bought a few more presents.

It turns out that the bike needed more than the buckle sorted. New cogs, new chain and new brake pads also needed leading to a bill of around £150. It’s a fair old bill, yet I’ve had the bike more than 16 years, only spent £80 on one service and it’s done thousands of miles without any problem including cycling the length of the Uists and back in the Outer Hebrides. Better to repair and carry on using for the time being than get a new one.

We returned to the fray after lunch calling in at Marks and Spencer’s for the next batch of ready meals for Doreen and some clothes for the younger three great nieces and nephew.

Our friends Al and Liz were going to come over today. Cancelled, they’re in Tier 3 now. So we had a jolly good FaceTime instead.

Today’s blip is of Christmas shoppers in Fremlin’s Walk, always a good place for a blip. The main photo and the extra were taken while I was lounging against the wall outside Hotel Chocolat while Susan was inside sampling the wares and making purchases. You can see the little group of people who make up the tableau in the extra on the right hand side. I don’t think the lady eating the pie would thank me very much if she saw herself!
