Time On My Hands

An unusual day, one where I felt I could do something different! I knew the owner of my new car was going to pick us up sometime after lunch to take me over to the North-east to get it but, before then I could take a trip into town, chat to friends and call in on The Mother. She was so surprised to see me at that time of day.

The guy, who specialises in Volvos, was so easy to chat to all the way over to his place that I felt we'd known him a long time!

The car is so beautiful! I haven't driven her yet, my turn will come. I was blown away when I pressed a panel and saw the cup holder!

As for the blip: a while ago I changed cookers. The new one didn't have a clock or timer. I sort of managed with my watch and the microwave clock but it wasn't what I'd been used to. This week I've been given a timer and I've promised the other clock shown in exchange for the one I now have on the kitchen wall.

BTW, when we had a jeweller's shop we always pulled out the crowns on watches to save the batteries and set the time to 10.1o. It is thought in the trade that that gives clocks and watches a happy look! It doesn't have the same effect with a digital!
