Misstep

It turned out OK in the end I suppose.

I intended to focus on three spots and reduce the exposure on the the distant spot for the sky. Somehow I got a light exposure, foreground rocks in one shot and a mid-lake dark exposure in another. So I was able to exposure blend and focus stack, just not quite as I wanted. The distant trees and sky are a little soft, as is the transition at the front.

However, the mood is what I was after: one of a cold winter sunset over the lake ice.

I usually use the viewfinder, but for low down shots I have to use the screen, which I can't see too well, especially in low light. I wish I could get an evf tilt adapter as on the gfx system.
